The way to be sure: on the top edge of the tailgate, just to the right of the spare tire, is a small dent roughly 2 cm across. Put there when we were installing the soft top and dropped it. Not worth the cost of repair. Didn't even chip the paint. The insurance company might be interested. We're not!
