We had some guests coming from the US later this month. When they saw the Level 4 report, they decided it would not be safe to travel in Mexico. We had a room reserved at Villa Mercedes. After I explained the situation to Eduardo, he refunded our deposit on the same day. Eduardo runs an honest business, and we hope other folks will use this small clean hotel.

It,s very nice he returned the deposit and that you posted this to let people know how erhical the owner is! Nice!

Now that's good business unlike a couple we know of who lost all of a $4,200 deposit from an owner at the Bay View Grand Residential. Their plans were cancelled because he was recently diagnosed with cancer.

We had reservations for 1 week in January 2017. When Kathie fell and broke her femur and 2 vertebrates, I emailed him. Since we come every year, he applied our deposit for 2017 to this year. All I can say is he takes care of his returning guest. The only problem you can not delay in making reservations for the following year. He had a room we wanted open on a Friday and 3 days later after making our 2019 reservations at The Grand that room was open but gave us a similar room but on the 2nd floor street side. He has so many returning guest for both places he owns. El Morro has the view from the side of the bay but so far away from everything.

I left out the room was booked and he gave us a different room.

Not the only one in that boat. But that is the risk, we are in the same situation.
