Medical Care in Zihua

Shortly after arriving in Zihua on Jan.12 I came down with a severe Bronchitis. A few days of coughing up my lungs I went to The Clinica Maciel. Within 15 minutes Dr. Maciel had me in his office, because of my crappy Spanish he called in his son. I was treated, X-Rayed, put on an inhaler in the emergency, given antibiotics, sent away with a prescription for an inhaler. My total cost for service and drugs was 1450 Pesos. I had 2 follow up visits as well. Within days I was back swimming at La Ropa and now I am completely free. For anyone needing care DO NOT HESITATE to go to the clinic.

Glad it all worked out Rob. By the way, Ladysmith is my old Home Town. LDSS Class of 64. Get up there once in a while, keeping in touch with former classmates.

I used to get bronchitis about twice a winter. Every cold became bronchitis. My totally organic friend told me to take garlic. So whenever I cook with it, I chop a little fine for myself. Throw it in my mouth and wash down quick with water so it can't touch anything and I don't have it on my breath. I haven't had bronchitis in nearly 30 years!
