mosquitos

We're long-termers and, after arriving in mid-November, have noticed there are more mosquitoes than ever before and have seen no evidence of any spraying. Anyone else noticed this? As folks who have already suffered from dengue fever, we are concerned.

Hardly any mosquitos downtown. I hate spraying toxic crap on everything. Bats, birds and dragonflies do fine unless you live near fresh standing water. Garden watering can also cause mosquitos. What part of Zihuatanejo do you live in? La Ropa ALWAYS has mosquitos. Es un gran humedal.

I'm with jaime13. Here on Calle Gema there's a house next door that has been empty and for sale for several years. Their leaf-covered 2/3 filled swimming pool must be the world's largest mosquito hatchery. A pox on their house and on their thoughtlessness.
I'll take the spray over the mosquitoes anytime.
