We had 8.45 cm of rain (3.33 inches) last night measured near the dolphins on Playa la Ropa. It was wonderful, just enough thunder and lightening to be fun and not freak out the dogs.
You can just feel and hear the world greening up. It's clean too.
LOTS of Rain!!

ya, the rain cleaned a lot of things up but the beach has lots of garbage even after the city cleaned the canal. Do we need better garbage pickup or is it just an education issue

People have to CARE not to trash their world. Too many people just don't care. This happens every year. We are too many.

YES, YES, YES.....
I was recently trying to fathom the ENORMITY of the trash problem in general.
Imagine on a combined basis, how many millions of tons of trash, be it household, industrial, medical, etc., are "disposed" of on a daily basis throughout the world.
I wonder if that continues, will future, or current generations pay a price for it, and, (IF it already isn't one) will it be our next worldwide "Pandemic" and/or International crisis to deal with?
P.S: Pls. excuse this "side issue" not directly related to "LOTS of Rain!!" by T. Ho.
Though since the flow of rain water evidently does carry trash in it, is there not some correlation?

The amazing part is not just that it will turn green, but that our SELVA BAJA TROPICAL CADUCIFOLIA is able to come back to life after 6 months of no rain. We have an amazing ecosystem that of course we are collectively destroying. Millions of years of evolution finding a balance of survival, and we chop it all down and pave it over. Breaks my heart to see what too many people gleefully call "progress".

Unfortunately developers are salivating at the opportunity to bulldoze our remaining natural spaces and make it look like Ixtapa from La Unión Montes de Oca to Petatlán, especially since Fonatur recently announced they have plans to turn our entire coast into a tourism corridor. Fonatur needs to disappear! Fibazi needs to disappear. Growth needs to be the result of a natural demand, not planned in offices hundreds of kilometers away in a city that has little relevance to our local culture or way of life where the intent is to benefit the influential and well connected while counting on locals to be their menial labor and nothing more. We don’t need more tourism, we need more economic diversity so that never again will our entire economy suffer the whims of one of the world’s most fickle industries.

Well put Rob! I can't believe the destruction in Zihua & surrounding areas just in the last 10 years! Don't even get me started on the train through the Eco system on the east coast!!
