The road to nowhere

Road is closed. I think it might have to do with rock slides but not sure.

Is that the highway going up towards Ciudad Altamirano? The one I've always been curious about, due to warnings that it isn't safe?

No. It’s the road between the checkpoint on the highway leaving Zihuatanejo towards the airport and La Ropa. Its purpose was to justify the development of Playa Manzanillo by some influyentes & corruptos.
