Just curious. Why would you post something so intentionally divisive like this immediately after someone urging others not to eat octopus? Would registering your disagreement in a more moderate tone be so difficult?

For what it is worth, I agree with you. If we are going to eat other animals, then why should octopus be off limits? Although highly intelligent, they don't live very long. If their populations are falling precipitously because of over harvesting, then a possible ban or severe reduction of harvesting might be called for.

Your post, on the other hand, does not bring any dialogue to the table other than to rub salt into another's wound.

Again, I just don't understand why someone would do this. It's also the reason this is the only so-called "social media" forum that I participate in. (I am probably not correct in calling this forum a social media website.)

I have no reason to sugar coat what I plan on doing. Could care less if my double order of pulpo upsets someone. So I guess there is that.
