Are dogs now allowed on La Ropa

Otherwise if anyone is interested in what shaped my opinion on responsible dog owners is to spend a great deal of time in Guanajuato Capital. The city is completely land locked without a piece of grass to be found. The cement and rock surfaced callejones demand only foot traffic and it is very insightful to see people walking theirs and other's dogs each day and especially in the morning. One soon finds out that beginning at the top of the city's hundreds of stair cases, the "markings" of the previous day's dog walks start out a soft and slowly hardening piles. As the non-suspecting tourists (the locals know to watch) go about their daily business with their noses stuck in their phones and they do the work sort of like a grape crusher at a winery. The morning begins the "flattening process" and thus we end up with pancakes. I used to spend hours sitting in Mexiamora Plaza in the mornings and my favorite resident was a lady who came out with a bucket of lie water and a ragged broom to spread on top of the daily poop collection and she always would curse to the top of her lungs for all the dog excrement. I started having some respiratory problems after a while and I finally realized the powder in the air down in the center of the city was not dust but it was powdered dog poop. It starts on these stairs all around the city, gets pounded by shoes until it keeps getting crushed and re-crushed until what you have is "dog dust" in the city center. Your eyes also burn many times and this is a good suspect. It's also fun each morning to watch each homeowner or maid come out of houses along the callejones and wash the dog poop down the callejone in front of the doorway with more water and more chemicals until it eventually collects where it serves best, in the Union Plaza that tourists frequent.

Anyway, thanks for allowing me to share another amusing anecdote regarding multi-faceted Mexico. Cheers.
