This Sunday continued to be a busy day for Zihuatanejo with lots of Mexican families and foreign visitors enjoying our beaches, our restaurants and our local shops. Many visitors were still on the beach and strolling the waterfront at sunset, relaxing, smiling, and hopefully thinking about future visits to our region.

Hopefully no visitors were injured in the shootout today in Colonia El Calechoso, though since no local media will report on such matters, and forget any comment from the local government, we have to rely on the citizens posting on social media.

Calm seas with small waves, a light breeze and a few clouds made for perfect beach weather, though I hear the fishermen have to go way south to Papanoa or north to Troncones to catch anything. Whales with their calves continue to be spotted with regularity off our coast.
