There are currently protests taking part around the country by truck drivers, combi drivers and taxi drivers who are blocking highways and demanding better protection from the government because they continue getting assaulted, extorted, shot at, injured and killed. So if you're traveling on the highways, be prepared for protests and roadblocks. Also, don't be surprised if public transport service shuts down again in Zihuatanejo.

Tuesday was another absolutely PERFECT day weatherwise in Zihuatanejo and along the entire Costa Grande of Guerrero. A nice balmy breeze from the south first thing in the morning that continued throughout much of the day. Cloudcover increased until it looked like it was going to rain around sunset, but so far not a drop in downtown Zihuatanejo. Small waves at the beaches in Zihuatanejo Bay made it the best place for swimming. Outside the bay conditions were a bit rougher.

Restaurants along the downtown waterfront were full mostly of visitantes extranjeros enjoying dinner, drinks and music this Tuesday evening. Very good to see!

Why don't they pull this crap in July.

This crap is these peoples wanting to be able to make a safer work place and the best results for bringing to the forefront now rather than July is they have more bargaining power when more people and businesses are affected

My husband used to tie old CDs to strings and hang them from sticks like in the foto to keep all the birds off the boat when we weren't using it. Works!
