What a wonderful event at Orient Bay restaurant on Wednesday night to raise funds for the Sociedad Protectora de Animales de Zihuatanejo (SPAZ)! The place was packed, the entertainment was fabulous, the food was delicious, and everyone appeared to have enjoyed themselves immensely. Congratulations to all the people involved, especially to the Krebs family and all the volunteers who give so much to help our suffering animals!

Zihuatanejo awoke to another morning of refreshing breezes and sunshine, and the day just kept getting better! The waves have calmed down, and folks were enjoying the beaches.

Sure were a lot of folks dancing at Daniel's restaurant this Thursday evening! Wow!

Truly one of the loveliest vacation lodgings at La Ropa in one of the most peaceful areas of our community is Villa Zanzibar, tucked away in the old original La Ropa community at the southern end of the beach a short easy walk uphill from the end of the beach.

Primero tocó guitarra y cantó Jossy Gallegos.

Luego salieron El Mariacho Los Torcazos, y Jossy también cantó unas canciones con ellos.

Por último hubo bailarines folclóricos, aquí en vestidos típicos de Oaxaca.

También los bailarines hicieron el baile conocido como El Jarabe Tapatío.

I've tried explaining it to the local tourism office, but I guess they're simply determined to ignore me because I also dare to openly criticize the local government when I believe it's deserved. Silliness.
