parking ticket

Received a ticket for parking near the Armada, a few blocks from the pier last night. There was a sign hanging from the second story of a building indicating it was an ambulance zone, it was night and the lighting was poor.

Where are parking tickets paid now and generally how long does one have to pay it?
Gracias

Just a ticket?

A few years ago I came back to my rented car to find a guy walking away with my license plate, along with his collection of plates from other vehicles.

(This was on Calle Vicente Guerrero, between Calle Altamirano and Avenida Jose Morelos, which is a long block. I had seen a no parking sign way at the far end of the block, but none anywhere near the corner where I parked. I,parked there because of the other parked vehicles and I assumed that the sign at the far end was for a limited area.)

I asked if I could just pay the fine on the spot. The person indicated that he had already entered the data into a handheld device, so I had to pay at the police station.

Anyway, I had to go to the police station, on Avenida Bicentario signing in to get a visitor pass to wear. I went to one office where they gave me a bill with the amount, then another office to pay the bill and get a receipt. I took the receipt back to the first office. My plate wasn’t there yet, so I waited for it to arrive, then signed out and returned the visitor pass.

I don’t remember how much the ticket was, but it was not insignificant.

Ive heard different amounts paid for parking tickets. Is there a gringo rate. Is there a posted amount for tickets for parking , running lights, no headlights, ect

632 pesos, enter the big gate next to the jail, they will point out the room with the judge, who arrives about 9am. In and out in 2 or 3 minutes. Just do it and get it over with. Shit happens.

one plate was removed, I need to know where to deal with it, the cop shop or is it at the municipal building now where the Driver s license fee is paid.

Thanks I think I will take a photo or two in the evening to demonstrate how easy it would be to miss the ambulance zone sign perched on the second floor of a building in the dark. No special paint on the curb.

The judge won't care. Just save yourself the outrage!!!!

I must have paid the Gringo price 2 days after the ticket was issued, Charged me 1100 pesos

was told the price was 2100 pesos, worth it for me to get a few photos and work on my Spanish.

Mexico, just pay it. You’ll have another story once you go through the process.

Geronimo

prestame $2100 pesos?

Necesitas un amiga/o en la oficina municipal.

Why does someone need a friend at city hall. Arent the staff supposed to treat all citizens the same. I dont believe favortism nor prejudice is warranted, especially with the government

Talking to a friend this morning, lost his front plate for a parking infraction, went in last week, 1200 pesos. He showed pictures, tried to argue, no joy. Said you should just pay it and save yourself the grief!
