La Ropa around sunset

Hi, I like to walk back o Madera back along LA Ropa at sunset after dinner and drinks on the far end. Is this anything to be worried about crime wise? I usually back before it's too dark. Thanks

You should be fine, but it can't hurt to try to walk with other people. The road is well traveled and holdups are extremely rare. There was a problem earlier last year, but the culprits were caught. Personally, I walk fast and always wear a big knife on my belt, and it's kept me out of trouble most of my life.

Would the recommendations differ between walking along the La Ropa road after dark, versus walking along the beach after dark?
