The Autopista Siglo XXI should be open to traffic this Thursday morning after the bridge was inspected and determined to be structurally sound.

Wednesday morning may have been the coolest it's gotten yet this year. Around 17°C. And it's expected to do so again tonight. Locals call this cold, though we know snowbirds laugh at us. The water is around 26.8°C, also too cold for locals who will wait until it warms back up, which should be soon since the world's oceans are breaking records for high temperatures week after week.

This week we're seeing a lot less visitantes extranjeros around. Most will return home soon before the Semana Santa vacation period that begins in less than 3 weeks. Too bad about all the downtown businesses in the tourist district having to close due to the totally unnecessary construction imposed upon them by an uncaring and greedy mayor seeking to replace the perfectly good streets with his own company's cement.

Remember, we don't change our clocks here anymore, for those of you who live where the time is about to change and cause my favorite evening US TV programs to be on too early.
