EquinocZIHo de Primavera
Spring has arrived, and apparently so has a bit of heat and humidity in spite of the cool ocean water at around 26°C. A distinct difference from last week. There's also been more sea fog in the area in the mornings bringing a light haze in the bay during the early morning. Overnight temperatures continue on the cool side. It's predicted to get down to 15°C during the early morning hours this weekend. Brrrr! Gonna have to wear my jammies and find a blanket!
The exodus of visitantes extranjeras continues. Hardly any around this evening along the waterfront. This happens every year as Semana Santa draws near. And there are already some Mexican vacationers arriving early, perhaps owing to the conditions in Acapulco where they are still struggling to rebuild after Hurricane Otis. And sadly, there continue to be wildfires out of control in Acapulco, making conditions even more difficult.
Yellowfin tunas are biting off our coast! Been seeing them carted from the beach during the late afternoons and evenings when fishermen arrive. Huge suckers! Good eating! Excellent time for chartering a fishing trip.
Looking for a laid-back affordable waterfront lodging? Check out Casa de los Sueños Tropicales located at Playa Manzanillo, a surfers' paradise. A comfortable beachfront vacation home on the point of Manzanillo Beach in the Troncones community 30 minutes north of Ixtapa. Perfect for two couples or a family.
