Monday morning we almost awoke to icicles. It was around 15°C along our part of the coast! Snowman weather for us! Yet visitors from the inland cities and up north don't even seem to notice. Folks were swimming at the downtown beach from early morning until well past sunset. Locals are all walking around shivering and blue-lipped, mumbling about café, atole and chocolate caliente. It's going to be at least as cold again tonight, so get your long johns, jammies and blankets ready. Brrrr!

A sea lion has apparently been living at Los Morros de Potosí for a short while. Unusual to see them this far south. They usually don't fare well at our latitude. Another one in the area a couple of months ago died at Isla Ixtapa, and another was in bad shape near Las Bahías de Papanoa last month.

FYI: The water taxi rates went up to 100 pesos round trip to Las Gatas and Isla Ixtapa.

We enjoyed watching the full moon rise from the pier Monday night. I took the best photo I could with my old iPhone SE. Hope it's not too terrible.
