Semana Santa
It's been a while since I posted a trip report. I remember a time 10 years plus back when people would post pics, restaurant recs, and experiences about Z which I feel is important to supporting tourism in the area. So here is my contribution.

The town was vibrant, people were happy, and the beaches were booming. I loved seeing El Centro restaurants packed, and families walking around. El Centro seemed very clean to me and well-kept. Every night during my week-long trip, we went into Centro and walked. We ate at Los Braseros, Pizza Loca, Mitos, and mostly at the basketball court which had an outdoor food market set up every day of the week.

Those fried Quesadillas were unreal. I picked up a Michelada and Fried Quesadilla and really enjoyed watching the festivities on Sunday.

We had wonderful breakfasts at Margaritas, El Viejo, Capricho Del Rey, a wonderful health food restaurant that I just cannot remember in El Centro, photo below along with other food pics from places around La Ropa and town.

I have to get back to work, but we did so much. Troncones was lovely, we did horseback riding on the beach which was a great experience. I have never seen Playa Linda this nuts before, couldn't even park it was so busy. Loot breakfast was fantastic as usual (pricier but also just lovely). We did turtle releases near La Perla which I cannot recommend enough especially if you have young ones, ask the people at La Perla for info. Please feel free to ask questions, I wish I had more time to post, but I can always follow up, here are some more added photos of the trip which sometimes speak louder than words. Please visit, the town felt safe, it was beautiful, the people were incredible as always, we walked everywhere, took the combi and cabs into town from La Ropa, had my friend Juan, who owns the surf shop in Troncones pick us up for a tour, cannot recommend him enough. I can always share his information. Photo'd is the new "controversial" road on La Ropa, most locals I spoke with were enthused by this road but I'd rather not get into local politics on this post, but would rather everyone enjoy the beauty of my favorite place in Mexico.
jungle pizza was incredible this trip, go.

Saw a friend perform at Casanovas, she was terrific and I highly recommend outdoor dining on Calle Adelita (Madera), just right off the canal into El Centro.

Las Gatas was nuts too, here is a pier shot instead of the thousands on the beach.

Thanks for the great pictures! Except for the ones of the food - just looking at them made me gain weight!

Thanks for the report , you certainly were busy and thanks for the pictures. Any hints on where and how you were able to post pictures for free online and then art h them to your post? That’s one thing I would like to be able to add to my posts. Thanks
Semana Santa
I did a search online as Rob's recs now seem to charge a fee to host. I used Postimage which you will find if you search it on google. You can just dump a whole bunch into it after you create a free account and then you copy the link for web address after you click the share icon.

You'll find some helpful info on posting photos under the pinned message "Registering & Using the Message Board" instructions, specifically under Posting photos and images.

Thanks for your great photos, really a good variety of items of interest to vistors to the area. Always looking forward to our next visit.
Semana Santa
Thanks I will try that!

Thanks I will use the tips, was more interested in the free site to download then upload pics so between both replies I should be able to try it out

Thanks for the trip report. I was posting trip reports on Rob’s board starting back in the 90’s. Over time the “fun to read and informative reports” dwindled and seemed to be over taken by political rants.
The photos are great. You’ve inspired me to post a trip report next January - March when we return for our 32nd visit.

I used to love reading trip reports and seeing people's experiences. I hope more people learn the photo posting part which is rather easy once you figure out dropping photos into a site similar to Postimages https://postimg.cc/ or the others Rob recommends. I see postimages was on his list, the others seemed to have a paywall to get through when I looked. I have tried a lot of places that I might not have because of the positive experiences posted here.

Great photos. The one looking down the pedestrian alley, past Brenda's Bar, towards Memo's, looks very "Van Gogh"-ish.

Wow. Thank you for the great reminder of why we like Zihutanejo. You did a great job.

I can't thank you enough for your detailed and extremely informative trip report and all your wonderful photos. Yes, the road photos make my stomach turn and my heart break, but not your fault. ¡Muchísimas gracias!
