20 peso bill: Sayonara?

I have heard from a friend of Eloina that the 20 Peso bill will be replaced with the 20-peso coin as soon as the bills need to be taken out of circulation. The newest 20 peso bill was produced in 2021, so will end up as a collector's item. The Bank of Mexico announced that the 20 peso bill will cease to circulate by 2025 and will be replaced with a coin.

"You can go to any bank and request the coins." True? If so, what is the collectors potential? Mickey Mantle baseball cards are worth up to 5000 dollars these days.

We've been seeing the 20 peso coin for a year or two now, maybe more. Generally as change from Sam's Club.

Collector's potential for a 20 peso bill or a 20 peso coin?
About 20 pesos....each.

I think those 20 peso coins are heavier than the Canadian loonie or toonie. They'll have to reinforce pant pockets.

Not much difference with the 10 peso coin and the 20 peso. In Canada they made the $2 coin rough on the outside edge cause it isnt much difference in coin size

If we think something has collectors’ potential, it doesn’t. Just ask all Canadians with $1.00 bills or pennies.

The real collectors’ items are the things that we don’t think have collectors’ value.

As a former eBay queen, you are so right!
