This Wednesday was another idyllic day on the Costa Grande. A nice breeze kept beachgoers comfortable, and an extremely calm bay made for easy swimming. The water temperature in Zihuatanejo Bay continues around 23°C. Way too cold for most year-round dwellers in the tropics. However, it makes for very comfortable sleeping weather at night.

Local fishermen are catching lots of tuna. A friend of mine caught a nice-sized dorada (not dorado) that he was going to feed his family with. About 4 or 5 kilos of delicious white meat. We are extremely fortunate for our bountiful seafood!

Another evening with very few people out strolling along the waterfront. A few folks in some of the restaurants, including several groups of visitantes extranjeros. Good to see them here! And a lively basketball game at the Cancha.

The view of the sunset over the treetops from their pool is breathtaking, and the peace and quiet will relieve you of any stress. Five comfortable suites with air conditioning, TV, and wi-fi access at this LGBTQ-friendly lodging make it somewhat exclusive and definitely enchanting. Mention ZihuaRob's and get a discount.

Oh, pooh! Landing the 20th -- that's next Saturday! -- and I was dreaming of *warm* water! I can freeze my cajones in the water here in San Diego / Tijuana, thank you very much. (Of course, the water here is highly polluted. Oh, well. Nothing's perfect.)

I missed one day last week due to the cold water, and passed again this morning. The water felt even colder than yesterday, and yesterday my swim was cold!

Darn. There's nothing I like better than swimming in the bay when I go down there (and I'll be there next week). Now you've, um, thrown cold water on my hopes and dreams.

Chances are it won't feel cold to you, it's just cold to us that are spoiled and used to it!

According to my handy-dandy Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion application, 23 degree Celsius is 73.4 Fahrenheit. That's cold water!
