ZIHgue La Costa Ahumada
Another smoky morning this Tuesday from the fires in the hills. A little worse than the other day. And this evening I could see a huge blanket of smoke just on the other side of El Cerro Viejo beginning to settle as the sun set and the land cooled. Fires in Petatlán, Zihuatanejo and La Unión continue. So we can expect another smoky night and morning. Probably a little worse than the previous day. Oh, and continued hot temps.
BE SURE TO STAY HYDRATED!
Hardly any visitors around. The downtown beach and waterfront restaurants were mostly empty during the day and into the evening. A few families were at the beach and people were swimming. The water looked great; however, there are reports of possible marea roja in the area near Ixtapa. So it's probably not a good time to be eating oysters.
No sleeping under sheets with the windows open. No more cool nights like we were enjoying at the beginning of the month. But hey, no need to use the hot water heater, either. The water comes out of the tap plenty warm right now.
Don't forget about PROJECT EQUATOR! Morning of July 1st at Deborah's Restaurant. Mark it on your caleendar!

Un día lluvioso a finales de mayo del año 2014, hace 10 años. Y los cerros están verdes porque ya había llovido por varias semanas en aquel entonces.
