Elections are over, and though not everyone's candidates won, we are all still family, friends and neighbors. No hate. No rancor. No deniers. Civility returns. Some of the close elections will be contested and recounted. Some folks will take longer than others to accept the results. But for all the talk of polarization in the media, I just don't see anything remotely resembling what's happening in the USA, and for that I'm extremely grateful.

Now back to living.

We enjoyed a lovely day with a balmy breeze during most of it. Clear skies. No rain in the forecast. The ocean seemed quite calm today compared to previous days, but another mar de fondo event is predicted to begin affecting our coast this Tuesday. It looks like we could get our first rain this coming weekend if the predicted tropical disturbance forms up into a proper storm. It's always a good idea to keep an eye on our local weather during the hurricane season.

Not many tourists in the area, but there were a few milling about downtown today including some extranjeros. It's always good to see our visitors enjoying themselves.

Since it still hasn't rained, the water along our coast remains clean and extremely clear. Perfect for swimming or just enjoying the view from a hammock.

One of the nicer vacation rentals in La Madera neighborhood is Casa Linda located atop the small hill at La Madera with views of the bay and town. Three apartments that can be rented all together or individually, each beautifully decorated with Mexican handcrafts. One with two en-suite bedrooms and two with one bedroom each as well as a sofa or pull out bed. All with full kitchens, living area, balconies, and shared access to a garden with BBQ facilities as well as the rooftop terrace.
