I got the runaround from an Ixtapa hotel once and posted my bogus "voucher" on their Facebook page. But I tried to negotiate with them for weeks. Finding their corporate bosses in Mexico City also helped get things settled. In a word, patience and perseverance. Oops, that's two words.

Rob, where can a person go to file a complaint for being overcharged or taken advantage of?

Hola Mary. PROFECO is certainly one place you can go. The local media is another. Nothing like BAD PUBLICITY can help a business owner see the light. Unfortunately, we have some greedy and stubborn MFers who refuse to respond to anything, and the government is limited in its abilities.
