Although the summer solstice was yesterday, today was the first full day of summer! And a beautiful one at that.

We enjoyed another delicious night of sleeping to perfect weather with a light overnight rain that cooled temps down enough to pull the sheets up and snuggle with my sweetie. It sprinkled through part of the morning before turning into a lovely sunny afternoon with bright blue skies. But then the rain returned around 5PM with some lightning and thunder, the first of the season for us.

This is a wonderful time of the year to be here, especially during the weekdays. Hardly anyone around, so no wait times at most restaurants. Rates are down at most vacation lodgings. No fighting over beach or pool chairs at the hotels. A much more laid back experience than during the winter months. And I believe the weather here is actually better than it is over much of the USA currently where the heat is stifling.

July 1st is arriving soon! Be present during the morning at Deborah's Restaurant in Ixtapa to watch history made as Project Equator comes to its fruition.

A lovely little hotel in Troncones is Hotel Los Sueños. El mediodía de este viernes Zihuatanejo lució hermoso bajo un cielo azul y con unas bonitas nubes pintando el cielo. Un poco después hubo truenos y relámpagos y cayó una sabrosa aguacera.
