La FrustraZIHón para un Ladrón
Around 2:30 this morning I woke up to open the window in our bedroom after the rain had mostly stopped, and saw a man in dark clothing clutching a huge knife crawling across the roof of our neighbor's restaurant towards my window. He heard me call the police, who arrived in about 5 minutes, but it still gave him time to get away. Frankly, I was more worried about him cutting my screen than anything else. I have plenty of protection, but if I hurt a thief then there'd be blood all over the place and I'd have to waste time with police reports. Be aware that this is the time of year when there are the most robberies, so be vigilant.
Saturday was another absolutely picture-postcard-perfect day. The sun came out and so did the tourists. I don't think anyone should be swimming in the bay the day after a hard rain, but until the local government takes the health of people more seriously there's not much I can do.
Looks like we might get some more rain. We can use it!
Gotta cut it short. Mexico's playing Jamaica!
Tucked away between delicious beachfront restaurants and the village of Barra de Potosí is Hacienda La Rusa. A fabulous affordable lodging in a Mexican colonial-style bed & breakfast home with 2 swimming pools. Rent individual suites or rent the entire hacienda.
