This Wednesday was another absolutely picture-postcard-perfect day. Not a cloud in the sky all day. In spite of the state tourism's cifras alegres claiming 77% occupancy in Ixtapa, there were hardly any visitors to be seen in downtown Zihuatanejo or Playa Principal.

Looks like we may have a stormy Monday coming our way as another tropical wave passes by. Keeping fingers crossed it's not a deluge, just a nice steady easygoing rain that doesn't cause any flooding.

A HUGE thank you to Craig and his enchanting wife Tina for a very enjoyable dinner at La Porteña with our longtime beloved friend Capitán Ramón Olea and his family and Craig's very affable favorite taxi driver whose name I'm forgetting. The folks at La Porteña went beyond the call of duty in attending to our large group, even though they seemed to get swamped with customers at the same time we arrived (all the other waterfront restaurants were empty or near empty). The food was delicious, and considering only 2 waiters were working while all the tables were full, the service was incredible.

Thursday is pozole day here in Guerrero. We are fortunate to have many excellent restaurants that serve pozole. ¡Buen provecho!
