Ixtapa and several parts of Zihuatanejo lost electricity for several hours on Friday. I've seen no explanation given by local news media. Were you affected?

Tourists were plentiful here in downtown Zihuatanejo this Saturday. Besides going to the beach and local restaurants, many also shopped at local stores much to the delight of local shop owners.

The mar de fondo continues, though it seems to let up at times then return, maybe because of the tides. Not as steady as it was a couple of days ago. Beachgoers seemed unbothered under our mostly sunny skies.

Beryl looks like it's going to whack Texas. Bummer for them. Here it looks like we could have a fairly rainy week ahead of us as a tropical wave passes by. We're in a zone where intense rains are predicted. Stay tuned to our local weather.

A purrfectly peaceful vacation lodging, Casa Kitty features 2 two-story structures. We are on la Ropa, near los delphines, and have had no issues with our electricity for quite a while, a week or two. Sorry others are doing without.

We are located in Contramar in Ixtapa. We lost electricity for 3.5 hours on Friday. It started at about 5:00 and ended shortly after 8:30.

La Noria - electricity went out at 5 p.m. for about 1/2 hour on Friday.
