Late Tuesday night the rain finally showed up and brought the temperature down, making for extremely comfortable sleeping weather listening to the waves on the beach. Birds were singing contentedly when the sun arose in the morning. Hell, I felt like singing, too. What a wonderful place to wake up in the mornings, and with such a loving marvelous companion by my side! I just might be the luckiest Gringo in Mexico.

It stayed cloudy most of Wednesday, which was fine, especially for fans watching the Euro Cup semifinals. A few tourists showed up and sat on the wet sand at the beach under mostly cloudy skies. The rain wasn't so heavy that it fouled the bay, but I still don't think folks should be swimming the day after even a brief rain. But the municipal government posted their beach report claiming everything was hunky-dory, at least at the one instance in the past several months when they've published the results of testing the water. Obviously ignoring the ECOCIDE they've committed at La Ropa. I hope some of you have denounced this. For evil to win it's only necessary that good people do nothing.

We might get some more rain tonight and tomorrow. At least that's what the forecast says.

Tourism should start picking up in the next few days as families start taking their summer vacations. Let's hope they bring some money to spend at local businesses besides the beach restaurants and Oxxo.
