Little Turtle Needs a New Home

My son has a "river" turtle named Kevin. We got him in Acapulco about 2 years ago. He's very dear to us but we're moving to the US and can't take him with us. He's about 5 inches in length and likes to eat shrimp and ham slices. If anyone is looking for a nice, hassle free pet or someone has a small fish pond and would like to add him as a resident please let us know. He comes with an aquarium for those without fish ponds. Thanks.

Hola
Any chance of rehabilitating the poor thing. and releasing it from its prison back into the wild where it belongs?

When we left the US to live here forever, we had to leave our California desert tortoises that were our hatchlings from a pair I got as a kid in 1960. Really.
Also had a red eared slider that I had had since it was tiny, but only about 20 years old.

Put the turtle back in the nearest river and celebrate it's return to nature. Tears are required, but it is a better choice.

Good luck.

What does your son think about this dilema?
