This Friday at 1:03 A.M. there was a 4.2 temblorcito with its epicenter in front of Bahía de Potosí near Los Morros de Potosí. We didn't feel a thing, but immediately afterward several people reported seeing a bright flash of light that slowly dissipated afterward, believed to be an electrical discharge from the quake.

The danzón dancers are having a great time in Plaza del Artista, and it looks like they have some visitors joining them. ¡Bravo!

So far not many visitors in town. There was an event at the zócalo this Friday evening with lots of arts and crafts by women, but since it was poorly announced (I didn't see any mention of it) there were hardly any people there.

Don't miss the Eco-Tianguis Sanka this Saturday morning from 9 to 1:30 in the plaza in front of the Vicente Guerrero school across the street from the Museo Arqueológico.

I get it that folks on vacation like to let it all hang out, but some woman who went on a yacht ride was so drunk after the excursion that they couldn't get her off the pier without driving a car to the end of the pier and rolling her into the back seat like a rag doll. She looked dead to me. Someone said she downed a bunch of vodka. Hope she recovers. Please remember to moderate your alcohol intake even though you're on vacation. It's okay to get stoned, but folks shouldn't have to carry you around.

I hope everyone here is ready for a party weekend. There will likely be folks setting off fireworks at odd places and at odd hours. It's the same every year. A good time to grab some wandering musicians and have them play for you.

There have been several turtle tracks on the downtown beach the last couple of days. A good sign.
