Looking for a referral to a cell technician in Zihua who could convert a used iPhone 12 mini purchased used on Ebay and purportedly wiped clean of AT and T to convert it for use on Telcel as well as transfer my contacts from my old iPhone SE to the iphone 12.

The Telcel technicians at their Ixtapa or downtown Zihuatanejo offices can do that for you. However, it behooves you to back your iPhone up on your computer using iTunes so that you have all your contacts and other goodies backed up, because THAT'S the best way to load up an empty iPhone with your stuff (apps, contacts, music, etc).

If our "God's" efforts fail, try Henry Molina, next to Waldo's. He has helped us so much, and is very tolerant of our very minimal cell phone skills. I don't even have a phone.

Pretty sure they use a nano-sim. You should be able to change the ATT one out easily and then just restore from back up.
