Lugar de Playas ApreZIHadas
This Sunday was another warm and humid day with hardly a cloud or a breeze. The predicted rain is nowhere to be seen. Keeping fingers crossed (again) that the forecast comes true and we get some precipitation.
While SECTUR posted their cifras alegres saying our local hotels were over half full, we just haven't seen that many tourists out'n'about, shopping or dining in local restaurants. Maybe the ones that are busy are All-Included hotels that don't really do much for the local economy.
The rope-a-dope parachute ride injured another tourist on Saturday. I'm surprised they're still allowed to operate. They offer no insurance or any kind of assistance if they injure or kill you. And I've witnessed both. I cannot recommend this tourist attraction (and frankly, I don't see the attraction).
Remember to carry insect repellent and use it if you're going to be sitting where mosquitos are. Dengue continues to be a big problem here, and we haven't seen the city spraying, at least not in the downtown area.
A local boutique hotel that certainly is romantic is Tentaciones Hotel & Restaurante. An inviting place that will leave you wanting more of what they have to offer: a luxury bed and breakfast boutique hotel in a private villa overlooking La Ropa Beach with only 4 suites, a restaurant and a unique pool bar lounge offering a panoramic view of Zihuatanejo Bay and its beaches. They also have a two gourmet open-air restaurants that will transport you to a magical place full of temptations.
