Playa La Madera

Not too be a alarmist but the last few days the surf has been higher than I have seen in the past ten years or so. We watched from our bungalow today where a Lady got caught outside and could not get back to shore. There were people trying to help but it was beyond what they could do, thankfully there was a life guard with rescue equipment that was able to get her back to shore.
Scary to watch, we have to respect the water for what it is.

We live here and try to be in the water daily. During the summer it is hit and miss and we usually have three weeks to a month when we can't safely access the water from la Ropa.

Things have calmed down lately. Monday it was perfect for paddling and swimming, due to circumstances beyond our control, Tues and Wed, we were not in the water. Today, we had a great dog walk, chose not to paddle due to the waves, but had a very nice ocean swim timing the waves in and out. Didn't even get knocked around coming in or out!

Hopefully manana will be even easier....

Yes different water today, and I am good with that, fishing tomorrow, sitting on the roof of a Panga, some days I wish there was a seatbelt there. Flat seas are good
