People's March in Zihua January 18, 2025

Let me preface this by saying this has nothing whatsoever to do with the Mexican Government, policies, politicians, laws or the beautiful country we all love, Mexico. Protesting against the government is against the law, we have no issues with them at all.

This is strictly to show the incoming US government that there are people all over the world that disagree with their upcoming policies, future administration and the rights of its citizens.

If you would like to research the march, the website for the main march is peoplesmarch.com

We had a march in Zihua in 2017, it started on the beach near Paty’s and marched to Rossy’s, short but about 200 people showed, another in 2018. Time and place for this one to be determined.

There will be more information to follow, mark your calendars!

Rob has been kind enough to let me post this on his website, gracias

In the words of Tom Lehrer, “The nicest thing about a protest song is that it makes you feel so good.”

Lots of 60s protest songs about Vietnam, from CCR to Dylan to Lennon to Country Joe, but heard not a peep except maybe from the Dixie Chicks about the unpopular invasion of Iraq during the Darth Cheney years, one the dumbest wars on record, a 3 trillion dollar fiasco. What's the point of having musicians if they're not gonna speak out?

Tragic demise, that guy... Feel like I'm Fixing to Die Rag was a childhood favorite for me after I outgrew Dr. Demento.

And yet, who was "..happy to receive the Cheney's endorsement" (her words)?

I participated along with 1.2 million others in the first Women's March in Washington DC on 21 January 2017, one day after the Great Mistake's inauguration . It was the largest single day protest in USA history. Not a single arrest was made in DC during the march. I see this People's March is 18 January, two days prior to Great Mistake 2.0. No doubt Great Mistake would have sicced the National Guard, and/or instigated his MAGA goons, to commit violence.
