Paty's Mar y Mar Closed Thursdays?

We were surprised to arrive at Paty's May y Mar on La Ropa this morning, only to find a sign: "Cerrado los jueves". In 20+ years, for us, that's a first. Closing for a day a week in mid-January? At the height of the season? Sign of the times?
Several other signs there advertised "zumba" on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Confusing.

Off season, she is closed on Thursday's. The orange webbing that separates her from the beach is put up at night, with the sign on it, and taken down when the brothers who run the rentals arrive. It's really possible that one of them overslept this morning and just wasn't there yet.
When we paddled, late today, around 8ish, she was open.

Mid-January certainly isn't off season. The sign, "Cerrado los jueves" was hanging on orange tape at the street entrance. We arrived at 10 am, there was no staff anywhere. The guys who rent the beach toys were there and answered "si" when I asked if it was closed every Thursday. Friends walked over later in the morning and it was still closed. When we left Paty's the day before, (Wednesday) I said "Hasta mañana" and 3 or 4 meseros answered "Hasta mañana."
No big deal, but it gets confusing trying to remember who's open (or closed) when.
Update: Confirming Helene's info, the restaurant is closed Thursdays.....all day....and that is expected to continue through the "high season."
