One of the privileges of living on the Costa Grande is being able to enjoy our absolutely perfect tropical weather. This Sunday we again enjoyed a refreshingly cool morning. In the open ocean the waves have picked up to 4 to 6 feet, so after weeks of waves so small we couldn't hear the surf, we again have their sound to lull us to sleep at night, though they're barely a foot high at Playa Principal. The ocean temp continues to be around 27.8°C. Absolutely perfect. It's usually cooler by this time of year. Amazing that it's remained this warm this late into winter.

Today, Feb. 2, is Día de la Candelaria. I hope everyone enjoyed their atole and tamales.

Since this Monday is also an official day of rest in honor of Día de la Constitución Mexicana, banks, government offices and many stores, shops and restaurants will be closed for the day. A good day to have plans to do nothing.

Don't forget the Annual SPAZ Fundraiser this coming Wednesday at Orient Bay restaurant above La Madera. It should be a real ball, and it's for an extremely good cause.
