Zihuatanejo's absolutely picture-postcard-perfect weather continues. Cool weather for sleeping and into the morning, warm daytime temps, sunny skies, warm ocean, light breezes, calm waters for swimming. Vacationers are getting more than their money's worth.

On my morning walk with my dog there were more extranjeros than nationals out. It was a Twilight Zone moment! I had to ask some local friends if they saw the same thing I was seeing.

Hope to see everyone at the SPAZ Fundraiser Wednesday evening at Orient Bay next to the old Kon Tiki. Some excellent musicians will perform, some delicious food and drinks will be served, and some fun people will be there. And there should be a spectacular sunset, as there have been plenty of lately.

Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. the cruise ship MS The World arrives in Zihuatanejo Bay. It will be here for two days. Its passengers live aboard the vessel, and they vote on their itineraries, so we're all grateful here that they chose to return to visit us. ¡Bienvenidos de regreso a Zihuatanejo!

Villas Los Arcos at Playa La Ropa is a wonderful lodging I truly enjoy being able to recommend. As if La Ropa isn't beautiful enough, this exquisitely designed and decorated lodging is a place one feels instantly at home in. I wish folks would simply spend more time in lodgings like this instead of cutting down more of our trees and clearing more land to build more vacation and retirement homes.

I stayed at Los Arcos about 6 or 7 years ago. The Bamboo Suite was fabulous. The owner/host is a lovely woman.

Zihuatanejo's vibe is unbeatable right now, perfect weather, calm waters, and a lively mix of locals and visitors. The SPAZ fundraiser sounds like a great way to celebrate community and music, and I love the recommendation for Villas Los Arcos. It's refreshing to see a focus on preserving nature instead of overdevelopment.
