Happy 108th anniversary of the 1917 Constitución de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos!

Folks who were up early were treated to the spectacle of the arrival of the cruise ship MS The World, a cruise ship of wealthy live-aboard residents who vote together to select their itinerary. I believe this is their third visit here, if I recall correctly. Merchants who set up at the pier enjoyed a busy day of sales. Other downtown shops and restaurants also enjoyed a busy day, though I believe most of their customers were extranjeros here on vacation. We seem to be receiving more Canadians than usual this year for which we are extremely grateful. ¡Bienvenidos todos! ¡Están ustedes en su casa!

As usual, our weather is absolutely idyllic. Refreshing evenings cool enough to sleep under the sheets, sunny days, balmy breezes and calm warm waters. A very comfortable latitude to be at.

Remember that Thursday is Jueves Pozolero in the state of Guerrero where we eat pozole, drink a little mezcal with it, and enjoy a wonderful old cultural tradition. And a huge part of being Mexican is enjoying our culture and our traditions.

Lupita and I regret that we weren't able to make it to the SPAZ Fundraiser, but we hope everyone enjoyed themselves. It is a wonderful cause for a very noble local family who practically work miracles trying to take care of so many ill and abandoned pets and other local creatures.
