Disco music blasting from the pier at around 6:30 this Sunday morning got my attention. W T absolute F! I don't care if it's for children with cancer or what. This is just one of those things that you should know not to do. Why does our municipal government not know this?

Apart from the thump diddy thump, the morning was cool and beautiful. A few early risers were enjoying the morning along with some joggers including the mayor. They all ran towards the thumping pier. Another foreigner-sponsored NGO event hijacked by a politician. When will they ever learn?

We enjoyed bolillos con barbacoa de puerco and licuados de plátano for breakfast. A typical Sunday morning treat in Zihuatanejo, but you have to get to the mercado early. Don't forget the chile!

It seems most of the day trippers went to the usual places: Las Gatas, Isla Ixtapa and Playa Linda. Downtown Zihuatanejo was slow today except for the Oxxos, a few waterfront restaurants and the water taxis. Many Mexicans are vacationed out after last weekend.

I wonder why the streets are empty this Sunday evening?
