Our days couldn't be lovelier nor our weather any better. We are extremely fortunate at our latitude and location on the Costa Grande of Guerrero with our sunny skies, warm days, refreshing evenings, and gentle breezes. It's enough to make locals smile for no apparent reason. And we tease each other about how fortunate we are while the rest of the world... well, we won't even go there.

Every single day I give thanks to wake up beside my incredible saint of a wife whom I think just may be the prettiest girl in Zihuatanejo, and there are a lot of pretty girls here. She was the first to wear a two-piece bathing suit. The day I met her in August of 1974 she and her companion, Carmelita Sotelo, were the only two Mexican girls on Playa La Ropa who were wearing bikinis. All the rest of the Mexican girls on the beach were wearing either clothing or one-piece suits. Ever since she said "Sí, acepto" to me in front of the jueza civil, I've felt like I was stealing a national treasure like the fabled Aztec Gold. She makes me feel like the luckiest Gringo in Mexico!

Be sure to take advantage of the whale watching season to get out on the water with a certified captain to enjoy the spectacle of a lifetime as whales with their babies find refuge in our calm protected waters for the winter season.
