Our 2025 Stay

As we wrap up the final few days of our trip, I thought I'd post a few notes. Thanks once again to Rob for maintaining this very helpful site. I read it daily whether I'm in ZIH or home. I like to look at the webcams a couple of times a week.
ZIH is a food lovers dream. I didn't keep any notes so here's my highlights from memory.....
Rufos-one of our favorite spots. It's not just about the music, the food and service are stellar.
Casanovas-one of our dearest friends Augustine Hernandez. We've followed him around town to all his previous gigs and now he's a business owner. Always a lively and fun spot, with food and service unmatched.
Arrayon-Maurice is one heckofa cook and the magic he creates on that grill is crazy good. Staff is first class too.
Casa Bahia-they nail it every time and this year we celebrated a birthday there. Everyone's meal and service was awesome....and that view speaks volumes.
Los Braceros-they did an upscale remodel and to me they lost their old town charm. Big fancy bar in the middle of the room kind of takes over. They've limited the menu which probably wasn't a bad idea.
La Gaviota-elegant and expensive. Service was very top shelf but I just don't like spending that much anymore.
La Tericita-maybe best breakfast in town. Setting and staff are incredible.
Banana's-chilequiles Verdes are our thing and theirs are superb.
Arrebol-great neighborhood feel with mostly locals. Great meal.
Mole Negro-killer breakfast, great staff and lively fun place.
Going to Triton tomorrow for our last night. Cheers.
