We simply couldn't ask for better weather! This Wednesday we enjoyed another refreshingly cool morning that quickly warmed up when the sun peeked over the hill. Sadly, there were hardly any visitors around to enjoy it. A nice gentle breeze during the day was perfect for lounging in a hammock or in the shade enjoying the beautiful view of the bay.

Fishermen continue bringing in tuna in the evening. We've seen some good-sized ones that must've weighed over 80 kilos. No monsters, but plenty big enough to put up a decent fight. Be sure to ask for fresh tuna dishes at your favorite restaurants. They are delicious!

The Danzón dancers had to dance in the sun this late afternoon since the municipal government made them use a stage that had been set up on the Paseo del Pescador for the book fair instead of in Plaza del Artista where at least there's shade in the late afternoon, and they didn't look too happy about it. I knew the municipal government would screw up a good thing once they got involved. But the rest of the evening's presentation of music was quite nice.

A mar de fondo alert has been issued for the next 3 days as swells are expected to pick up to over 2 meters. Good for surfers, but might pose difficulties for swimmers and some beach erosion along our coast.
