The weather is changing, and recently the nights have been optional for sleeping under a sheet. The nights aren't quite as cool as they have been for the past several months. There was a noticeable haze again this morning, partially from the sea mist, increasing humidity, and a bit of smoke from distant fires.

The mar de fondo effect kicked it up a notch, and the waves washed over half of the downtown beach and over most of La Madera. But there weren't that many visitors here today, and the few who were made the best of it.

Our Semana Santa vacation period had its moments, and merchants enjoyed some decent sales, but looking back it wasn't as good as what we used to have before Covid when it was always our busiest 2 weeks of the year, only rivalled by the Christmas vacation period. Even though the all-included Ixtapa hotels were full, people just aren't spending money like they used to. A situation now made much worse by the idiotic decisions of the Convict-in-Chief who all by his dumb little self lost the world over 2 trillion dollars so far, and counting. The economic forecast for the entire world is worse than what it was just 100 days ago. A damn shame.

For the first time in local memory since it opened, apart from the Covid closures, Bandido's is closing. But it's only TEMPORARY to fix their old wooden roof. Not to despair. They'll be back as soon as they have their new roof.
