El ZIHelo Quiere
Even with the humidity creeping up, our weather continues being absolutely picture-postcard-perfect. Our days remain mostly sunny and breezy. A few puffy potential rain clouds were visible on the horizon out to sea this morning. The nights remain quite mild, though we've gotten back to the sheets-optional stage. Longer days are upon us, and the sun is up bright and early, meaning those of us who get up early to do chores before the sun gets hot find ourselves a bit sleep-deprived as we keep getting up earlier and earlier. The price we pay for no longer observing the horario de verano.
The crowds have disbursed, and most visitors have returned to their homes. This Tuesday will be the first day of school since last Wednesday for most students. Man, that was certainly a long weekend!
The rains are closing in according to all the forecasts. And it's looking more and more like my guesstimate of May 10, Día de las Madres, for the first real rain will be damn close if not spot on. Hoping it's nothing torrential. With the canal blocked by an extremely high sandbar, it could cause serious flooding for our part of downtown.
If you enjoy spectacular views and balmy breezes, you'll LOVE La Casa Roja on Cerro El Almacén with two comfortable suites. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms with a king-size and twin beds, full kitchen, private bath, and 2 terraces. The lower level also has 2 bedrooms with a king-size and twin beds, full kitchen, 2 baths, and a terrace. A peaceful place within easy walking distance of downtown and nearby restaurants.
