Odd that they say "Cartel fighters." Makes it sounds like the DEA or some entity that fights against these guys is making the alliance. Not that the DEA hasn't indulged in a little cocaine trafficking over the years a la Dark Alliance.

Violent criminal organizations are the predictable response to banning substances used by over 40 million U.S. citizens alone, and millions of others worldwide. It's almost as if the governments WANT them to exist just to have an excuse for all those jobs and multi-million dollar budgets dedicated to "fighting" them. What a joke!

Absolutely. A lot of people (including former DEA warriors like Michael Levine) have since written about how Nixon, by constructing a Drug War, immortalized the conflict, rather than end the problem. And then there's lunatic propagandist Harry Anslinger. Oy vey.

America had a “War On Poverty”. Look around. Poverty won.

Poverty exists not because we cannot afford to feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.
Ah, before anyone cries, "Socialist!" please know that I am stockbroker. I believe strongly in capitalism. However, nothing we humans have ever created has been perfect and that includes capitalism. As in the first Guilded Age, the pendulum has swung far too much in favor of the upper class, in my humble opinion. The trick is to get us back toward the center where entrepreneurship is still rewarded but the power of their subsequent immense resources is kept in check. Don't hold your breath for that to happen anytime soon.

Just wait, the wealth is gonna trickle down. Pennies from Heaven.

Maybe Reagan didn’t make it to Heaven to sprinkle the pennies. Perhaps his Trump-like behaviour caught up to him.
I was saddened to read that Reagan was not a moral man, having had multiple relationships between his marriages. I was shocked to read that Reagan impregnated Nancy before marriage, and that his children were neglected by both sets of parents (Reagan and Wyman and Reagan and Davis).
Reagan was a fornicator in between marriages, and an adulterer in his second marriage.
Cheating on your spouse isn't right, but why shouldn't one look for some action outside of marriage?

I think the leaders of the “Disciples of Christ” denomination in which Reagan was raised or the Presbyterian Church through which Reagan professed his Christian beliefs could give you a better response than me.
Perhaps Reagan’s religious commitment was similar to that of a prominent Canadian. I once asked my clergyman father, “Did you know that Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx is a Pentecostal?”
My father’s satirical reply was, “The Pentecostal Church is the one he chooses to not attend.”

I've always liked the line:
"If you waded in Reagan's deepest thoughts, you wouldn't get your ankles wet."

We NOW know the "Trickle-Down" is a golden shower to the working class.
With that "big, beautiful bill" passing, I suspect that some solids will be added to the shower.

This is actually the reason Cartel Jalisco is now fighting Familia Michoacana and also the reason there have been so many car thefts and assaults on the highway from troncones to zihuatanejo.
Everyone please be very careful. I friend of mine got his car stolen and girlfriend groped. It was 5 cars stolen that day. This was 3 weeks ago. And now a family was attacked; the mother is dead and the child and huband in the hospital. If you dont believe me google assalto ixtapa or muere turista ixtapa.
Zihuatanejo and ixtapa are relatively safe but dont wander to far away.
