IniZIHa La Canícula
As predicted, Wednesday night was perfect sleeping weather after watching Mexico beat Honduras earlier in the evening. This Thursday was another absolutely picture-postcard-perfect day of sunshine, mild temps and a gentle tropical breeze. The waves in the bay weren't too big, and a few people enjoyed the downtown beach, but outside the bay the captains say it's rough and choppy. The pier at Playa Linda was closed, so the restaurants at Isla Ixtapa didn't do any business today.
While there were a few visitors here, they weren't spending much money, and many shops closed early or didn't bother to open. It was slow for the restaurants along the waterfront, too. And there weren't many people at the pier when we walked that way earlier this evening.
Enjoy our lovely weather while it lasts. La Canícula starts this Thursday, and it's usually a period of extreme heat and little rain that lasts about 40 days. Let's hope we get lucky and enjoy a mild July with some cooling evening rains.
Enjoy waterfront lodging in style on El Palmar Beach in Ixtapa at Marina del Sol Condo. A 3-bedroom beachfront condo in the Marina Ixtapa section of Ixtapa. This multilevel condo has a modern kitchen, spacious living and dining area, and a large terrace. Pool, beach palapas, covered parking and gym on the premises. Everything you need to feel at home.
