Is the atm at soriana ok to use?
I used it last year and had no problem but someone said that last month they didn’t receive cash but it was noted as withdrawn. Anyone used it recently

Ok thank you,
I went to soriana and did use the ATM no problem. There was a heavily armed security guy by one of the machines guarding his partner also seriously armed..
Bank guards perhaps… startling to see but I thought well this must be safe…I hope!
such serious looking weapons, but then again I’m Canadian..

They are refilling the machines with cash. Each bank has their own crew, so with four machines there are usually armed men loading machines.

They are not likely “bank guards”. They are more likely private security service personnel, just like in Canada.

It isn’t that the servicing of freestanding ATMs in Canada is weapons-free. The weaponry is less obvious.

One last thing there was a “bulldozer” earth mover? Beside Mangllar this morning. I asked the guys what they were doing but was met with blank stares and decided I would stop torturing them with my mangled Spanish.
The sign said this is the beach limit?

It is the limit of the blue flag designation.

Probably putting the fence back up that keeps the people away from the crocs. You notice, not to keep the crocs in, but to keep the people out.

I might be generous, but I assume it must be an attempt at humour. Read the user’s postings. They are rife with grammatical and punctuation errors.

Just look at the small portion you quoted.

- “Bank” is capitalized and “Brinks” is not.
- A sentence ends in an ellipsis followed by multiple question marks.

Yes, the user must be having fun with us.

I do not use the Santander machine at Soriana any more. Four times over the past few years it has not given me cash but it was withdrawn out of my account. My bank in Canada contacted the Santander each time and I eventually got the money back. It was a big hassle. The 2 other Santander's, one in central Zihua and the other in Ixtapa do not seem to have this problem.
