Question re Daniel’s

are you inferring extortion?

Given the fact that at least one popular restaurant in Zihua simply closed a few years ago rather than submit to extortion, how would you interpret the owner's statement?

Personally, I would rather not infer. What is the old silly saying? "When you ASSUME, you make an ASS out of U and ME."

Does anyone know the reason? Did Daniel's Restaurant close because of organized crime threats? There could other reasons "beyond [their] control that plague this beautiful port" that forced them to close.
