Those older trees were great for shade and cooling off the area. Sadly, it is clear this government does not care about nature as they have destroyed a lot of the natural beauty Zihua had. Some of their concrete renovations could have been done while maintaining the trees. Planting new trees is not the same and in the areas where so much concrete has been poured, you sure can feel the heat difference, day and night. It was one thing you would notice years ago in Zihua, the diversity of trees in the city. Many with great flowers in them when in bloom and good cover from the sun. A lot of it is gone!
