What was the alleged purpose of the tree cutting in Agua de Correa?

Over 10 trees were cut down in a project that endeavors to reduce flooding where 3 arroyos converge. The trees provide shade and help keep the ground humid, including in the arroyo. Once again, it appears no Manifiesto de Impacto Ambiental was completed (a common theme with this and the previous administration). Over and over this administration and the previous one ignore the laws and recklessly and unnecessarily destroy trees in order to pour their cement. It's a pattern, and sooner or later the law needs to be applied, but as Alex Serna documented before he was found tortured and murdered, it appears they pay off the people who would normally be responsible for sanctioning them.
