COOKING WITH CLAUDIA

I would like to once again recommend COOKING WITH CLAUDIA if you are looking for a different type of food experience.

What Claudia offers is unique: her goal is to provide you with the experience that YOU want to have, at the time that is convenient to YOU, in an individual or very small group (no more than 4) setting. Time with Claudia is an opportunity to learn about authentic Mexican family cuisine. This is not restaurant cooking- this is family cooking.

All classes are arranged on an individual basis and must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance, by email: cooking.claudia@hotmail.com
Upon inquiry, as well as choosing your date and your dish to cook, you can also choose the location. You can choose convenience and have your class in a condo in La Ropa, or you can be adventurous and have your class in Claudia’s home in Los Achotes, which is near Barra de Potosí. Many people enjoy being welcomed into Claudia’s authentic Mexican home for a morning class, and then spend the rest of the day at Barra. It is also possible to arrange for Claudia to come to your home.

As well, Claudia offers tours of the mercado. It is possible to do a market tour by itself, or also followed by a cooking class.

Last year was Claudia's first time to offer her services. After each class she asks for input and comments from her clients. I am pleased to say that she has incorporated almost all suggestions that were made last season and is ready to share her knowledge and talent once again.

I have had the joy of being a part of several cooking classes with Claudia. I have to say that it is always a fantastic time with a wonderful big hearted woman who is sure to make your experience pleasant and enjoyable. We shared many laughes and I learned a lot from her. The food cannot be compared to anything I have had in any restaurant, it was all amazing and surpassed any and all expectations. I also took part in a mercado tour and have visited Claudia's home. I have to say ... if you have the time to do this during your visit DO IT!!!! You will be missing out greatly if you do not.

We had a wonderful time cooking "chili rellanos "last year with Claudia last year! I love rubbing elbows with the people of Zihua.
